Just got email halfords doing Catrol magnatec 5W30 4 litres for £17.50 is this a good deal?
its for 1.7 is that correct grade?
I realise I will need 4.5 litres to do filter to so will need to buy 1 more litre.
Wonder why they dont have 5 litres?
EDIT just looked 1 litre is like £12.99! eek will buy 2 x 4 litres be cheaper!

what basis are they suggesting its not good enough to recommend? i agree that you dont have to buy named stuff, but that doesnt make the named stuff bad when its on offer and competitively priced.
sounds like more made up internet stuff to me just because they happen to use something else.

what kind of recommendation do you want? oil is oil non of it will break your engine, you wont notice a difference whatever you put in as long as its correct grade and spec for your engine

basically its just a case of anything they dont use = crap then that accompanies a made up reason as to why they have just said that imo

thats what im trying to work out
basically an omega forum doesnt recommend castrol oil, but based on what
IMO someone put the wrong oil in there car then decided to blame the oil, imo IMO

Might aswell use cooking oil in a Corsa though coz it will just burn it anyway.

I never stay on forums for long because of this.
And then if you happen to say that it's actually a load of bollocks you get a warning or whatever.
You agree with admin and their minions on other forums or you might as well not be there.
CS at least you'll get every single possible type of reply.
