Do you always bring a present to a wedding reception if you haven't been invited to the wedding? I have in the past, but have a reception to go to tomorrow night and was just wondering if I should?

See I spent a fortune going to the stag do in Benidorm for 6 days (some craic!) and the reception is like 50 miles away and I still don't know how I'm getting there.

So what do yous think? Am I sounding cheap for even asking?

It would be nice to give something but not compulsory. I went to one a couple of months ago and didn't take anything, mainly because I forgot Was alright though
