x16xel with 16xe inlet...

driving along all is well... the eml came on and lost everything...
had the jump l;eads on and a gallen of juice in and its trying but not starting, battery is starting to get low now. its cranking ok, occasionally it'll fire once if i leave it 5 mins...

please help

If its got fuel and its turning it musnt gave a spark, coil pack leads etc?

If it's intermittent then that would be the case of what your describing. Your ecu is all right and not dangling by your feet isn't it? Could be imbobilzed too check vss.

anyone got the diagnostic gear or knows how to de the paperclip thing rite can come de it for me tomorrow and if you find the problem or even better solve it il give you a bit cash.. cover your petrol and get youself a cate maybe.... and mega plus rep lol

once had the same problem and it turned out to be water in the ecu

have to replace it like?

it would make sence... that rubber gromit that goes into the bay above the ecu area isnt in properly due to were i ran the manual fan switch wire... hope its not that

if so had anybody got one cheap at the ready...


also how would i tell the ecu's got damp inside

Headgasket failure, open your ecu and check if there is any mayo in there

Egr sounds like, if they get carbon stuck in them and they stick open can cause all kinds of shit. Take it off and clean it

done it about 5 times now, 16pin ones found in 97 onwards you need to bridge 5 and 6 but theres nowt
know what you mean though, looking back at that 1st vid it looks like iv got them in the wrong ones lol
