'I think it's a bit childish because, after all is said and done, if it wasn't for us blokes Fifa wouldn't be here. They wouldn't be playing football.'

Not surprising is it. Why don't we just do it anyway? What's the worst they'd do?

personally see where fifa are coming from tbh... if they let one team do it then they have to allow all sorts of requests from countires and eventually team a will play team b wearing some kidn of thing on their shirts that starts some kind fo nonsense.
no need whatsoever for the poppies on the shirts and im sure it wont harm the fundraising

Apparently its incase we meet Germany one day in a match close to Rememberance Day.
It might offend the Germans that we killed one of the most feared and hated men of all times so the enjoy the freedom they have?

Depends which side of the fence you're on to see that. The Germans may see it as us crippling their Country for decades after the wars due to our demands. But I'd be putting one in a band on my arm in an act of defiance

As i say, tbf to fifa () there is no place for political or social messages in international football as one day it would kick off some nonsense and its not about being PC and not offending people its about kick starting some stupid bullshit over a football match, maybe next North Korea want to put somehting on their shirts about South Korea or Uganda puts some anti-gay message on theres etc.

The poppy is neither a social or political message though.
It's to commemorate the dead from all sides during all conflicts? As I said before. Fuck FIFA, we should just wear what we want, or cancel the friendly. That'd properly screw them over

Is this a fucking joke or what? Men fight to keep this nation free then 70 years later we are doing what FIFA/Germany says anyway.
Tell them corrupt cunts to fuck off or we will send a trident missile up their arse

Nobody cares about Ireland or who is catholic/Protestant it's just an excuse for angry Scots to carry a grudge for the English.

Tbh I don't think the normal average German would care
Think they would respect the fact we want to show our respect, just like I'm sure they would.
This really boils my piss !!
