i've had half a tank of petrol in the puma since the middle of july and now it doesn't need the engine started.
can i now take the petrol out and use it in the fiesta?

If your not sure just put in a small amount in at a time.

Take a bit out and try and light it.Normally if its off it wont ignite.

if you have a summer use car its a good idea to use a catalytic stabiliser in the fuel tank to keep the fuels octane level stable, you can get them on ebay for a few quid, its the metal pellet in tank type you want as they are proven tech used by the forces and aviation industry since world war 2, on a fairly standard engine a depleted octane rating wont do much harm but on a high compression or turbo engine its not good news

Should be fine, dad stores barrels for months on end and I've never had trouble with any of his old stuff.

I've run the Disco off fuel out of scrappers. Not sure I would put it in a good car

fuel will be fine, wont have such a high octane content though, we found this with some Mini race cars using V power they used 2 month old fuel and it lost power on the Dyno but it still ran fine

Ok cheers. Not bothered about power as its just for commuting. Will only last about 5 days anyway.
