My friend currently lives there. Going to do as much as we can and do a bit of a road trip. Blue Mountains, New South Wales etc. Tasmania if funds allow.

Katoomba (Blue Mountains) is 2 hrs from Sydney by train, really easy to get there, in fact, by far the easiest way. Go to Wangaratta outside Melbourne and go to the Stock Cars there, brilliant day out!

Snorkelling is awesome from the jettys that all the hotels on the beach have, really epic. Might be a bit windy there though, it was when I was there in Feb, warm though.

What parts of NSW, its absolutely huge with massive distances between main places, Saying that, it took us about 5 days to drive from Sydney to Adelaide and that was stopping off on the way at the main places. Think it was about 1200 miles we covered.

We aren't going till September, but deffo want to do a scuba dive and some snorkelling.

i went there in july/august. hottest place i've ever been.

apart from the occasional diarohea (sp) moment (sharted my pants), i was fine.

wouldn't go in summer again though.

Want to go back to Vegas or New York, if not hopefully cancun but if funds don't allow then maybe Turkey or Sharm again for a cheap week away in sun!
