Had a little rolling road day with some chums yesterday down at Eurospec in Guildfored

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTnmg9eSUrs

Pulled 225bhp with Toda header, Inejn CAI, Supersprint unsilenced b-pipe, J's Racing 60R backbox and K100 mapped by Romain Levesque.

Map needs tweaking due to changing exhaust and intake, running lean when VTEC kicks in y0. Will have it done once my RBC inlet manifold is fitted, should see another 15bhp top end, more midrange and lower VTEC engagement point.

You wont hear as much as a standard one because of the map on the car. The cam changeover is alot smoother now so the noise isn't amplified as much, but it makes for more power/better drive so a small sacrifice to make.

I'll list everything with RRP's + customs, vat, shipping etc

Js backbox - £540
Supersprint b pipe - £220
Toda header - £1400
Injen CAI - £280
Hondata K100 + mapping - £820

So about £3300 if bought brand spankers. I was in the right place at the right time for all the parts so didn't shell out that much.

Yeh cool mate. Give James a buzz and sort something out. And give over, like you need lube.

No worries mate. There's always plenty of bits popping up in the for sale threads on CTRO, TRO and ITR DC5 and alot of the parts between CTR's and ITR's are interchangeable, I'm running EP3 springs on my 5 for example.

You on ITR DC5 by the way as I recognise your username?

im afraid not, im on civic life and itr-dc2 forum but as dapc.

oo these are good little facts to know! out of interest, i know these a pretty solid engines, but if the un-thinkable happened and the engine broke, are the ep3 engines a straight swap? (though the little less engine power)

as im asking, iv seen so many different prices for these, from 8k to 6.5k and different mileages, with prices spread over. whats a good mileage for say 7-7.5k?

cheers

CTR engines are similiar, main differences being the inlet and exhaust manifolds and the cams, think they run slightly lower compression as well, but if worse came to worse you could swap the parts over between the two.

Prices of them are all over the place at the moment, £7.5k should see you with a decent one with under 70k miles.
