My rear wheel has one nut that has cross threaded and now won't tighten. I was just wondering if I could replace the outer hub of the brake drum as this is where the wheel bolt threads into right?

Sorry if i'm completely wrong help please?

Probably should do the pair depending on how worn they are

You wouldn't replace one disc would you

Shoes, Drums and Adjusters if needed.

Personally, i'd just whack a drum on from the scrappy if it's not worn, set the adjuster back up for the new drum and be done with it.

Jesus Christ this is getting expensive

You can just do the outer drum if you wish although you do need to check the brake efficiencies and make sure they're within tolerance. It's checked on an MOT anyway so you may need to do the bigger job at some point.

Sure you can get a free test from places like Kwik-fit etc. when it's done?

Yeah ok I'll change the drum and get the brakes checked and see how it fares
