Last year my renewal was about £575 with More Than, this year they want £800 off me!

Just got a quote through Elephant: £570 with £250 excess rather than £350.

No brainer for me.

I paid £350ish last year, I had a prang, so lost 2 years no claims (down to 3 from 5), got quotes for £335 this time around with Hastings direct

They do it on purpose hoping people won't shop around, they probably get a lot of people tbh.

My renewal was 770 with admiral, got a quote with elephant who are the same group and it was 570, phone them and they undercut it by a few quid.

Mate was similar just with higher amounts. He's lost his no claims and has an at fault claim yet my insurance is only cheaper by 150/200 on the same car/area and I have 6 years no clams.

Difference comes in to play with high powered cars though.

This and the fact they don't actually want your custom anymore.

Tesco put mine up loads, I was told they were trying to move away from insuring certain types of cars.
