why do sportex exhaust systems not sit straight on a corsa b all the ones i've seen sit at an angle towards the passangers side, just curious lol

They cant be fitting them properly then, some people angle them to stop the rubbing of the exhaust clamp when lowered on its arse

i did this breifly at one point, but it was more of a case thats the angle it went on and i was cold and cba to be under the car anylonger


any exhaust can be fitted on the piss

Mines fine as well. Theres a few guys round my way that have them at an angle for the reasons already mentioned, only other reason is that they can't fit them properly lol

the sportex race tube iv fitted sits better than the standard did and better than the stainless did but runs shite cos theres no back pressure... far too loud aswell

considering a sportex system for the puma, isnt daily so the fact its mild steel doesnt bother my had a backbox on my corsa and thought it was good for the cash

are they still any good? thinking of full system here

I always thought they come out angled so they followed the curve of the bumper if that makes sense?

If you want one that comes out dead straight a Janspeed one is what you want.

always keep to a centre silencer imo
i get laughed at up the unit cos its louder than some of their stock cars running carbs on pinto engines

I think mine comes out straight.

Racetube centre with a decat is too loud, over 100db full throttle under load.

I agree, too loud and its just silly. Theres an old fiat panda round my way and its rediculously loud. I think i would not want to draw any extra attention to myself if i was driving it

you need something with a bit of back pressure imo, going to change mine soon, im just pee'd off cos i welded it to the decat
