depends what sort of music u listen to
id go sealed with a 15, as 15 is big enuff to drop lows pretty heavily anyway.

if sum1 gets a 15, thats suggests that they want low and loud, max possible. so most would want to use a ported box as a result.

Not true corb i got my 15" which is in a sealed box. Still gets me 143 dB . BUT it really does depend on what you are after. if you like the really deep lows, then port it. If you wanna keep a bit of punch (not that 15's are all that good for punch) then sealed. Mine still keeps up with hard House and drops nicely with Street Bass CD's.

jbl dont make a 15" gto series, they do the W15GTi and GT150/GT150D

but steve, what made you choose a 15 in sealed as opposed to 2 twelves in ported? the 12's would punch better and still drop the big spl notes. i got 145dB @ 40Hz with two 12's.

tell you truth mate, i heard the 15" drop in a mates car, and wanted it BAD. Although look out for Bravogirls system, 2x 12" rockfords. 1000RMS run off the Type RF 1500 amp. Should be good.

personally i would use a sealed box, i dont like the sound of ported boxs, they resonate too much and i think it sounds wierd, just my opinion though.

2 x 15's good ones will make your ears bleed...
i would go for 1 x 15 and 2 x 10/12 this would give you a serious low level wid your 15 but still hit hard to give you nice crisp clean bass hits with the 10/12. all in sealed boxes, if you can find space that is....

which debate was this??
had an install just like that in my old BM sounded the tits... but it cost alot to get it right... but i had the advantage of space to play around with...
i agree with the miss matching of subs, but it is possible to get it right, if your willing to put money and time into it... but thanx to 'bin laden' i lost my job and had to sell the motor...
