I think hes aware the public sector pays his wages, his point was about those striking.
Everyone wants him sacked, but its ironic how people are all for freedom of speech, yet there's outrage when they don't agree with someone. Do these same people want communism?

Classic example of someone believing their own hype..used to quite like him, even his newspaper columns were entertaining - now he is just making himself look silly with this act he constantly puts on.
Clarkson is basically a god to people who are a bit simple. I couldn't care less what he says - its not as if anyone takes him seriously anymore. Criticising the public sector strike while he has become a millionaire from public money shows how dim he is. What does he actually do to help Britain? He seems to have lots to say .... apart from cheating on his wife and behaving like a cnut everytime he is on tv I dont really see what he does to deserve his massive salary.

Deserving his salary?! Are you a conmunist?! He deserves his salary through intellectual property. If people didn't want to see him on tv then he wouldn't be on it. He earnt it.
He likes winding people up, Dr Pepper is hooked lined and sunk.

Although I kind of agree with what he's saying, I don't think prime time TV is the forum it should be aired on, maybe he should have been on Question Time or something else.

I hate Top Gear but I love it when Jeremy Clarkson comes out with one of his satire pieces. Some weirdos take it too seriously though.

He doesn't wind me up ... People who blindly think he is funny or clever everytime he says something stupid and ill informed wind me up. I don't mind clarkson, just think he is losing the plot... And losing a lot of respect from people who used to like him and top gear.
They could hire another host on a quarter of the wage, who would improve the programme.... So no, I dont think he is worth so much of my licence fee when IMO he is doing a bad job. And the one show can fuck off as well... Terrible show

Coming up to Christmas, he's got a new DVD out, why wouldn't he cause a bit of controversy to get his name about? His fans all know he's having a laugh so it's not going to stop any of them buying his DVD, but it may well remind them that he's got a new one available. It was pure marketing, and quite clearly it worked.

Top Gear - The single most watched Television Show in the world, 310million viewers. One would imagine that 'what he does to actually help Britain' is the revenue it streams back into the UK Economy.
