Looking at doing a credit check on myself anyone know of a good site that wont rip me off and charge me loads per month and will cause me a hassle trying to cancel ect ..

Years ago I used Experian and had no trouble cancelling it. Just check the small print.

Signup for the 30 day Credit Expert (Expert) trial, get your report and then phone up and cancel.
You can also do the same thing with Equifax too.
Another (slower) option would be to send £2 postal order/cheque to either of them and get a paper report posted back to you.

Free trial is more useful than the £2 statutory check too because you get proper phone support too which is useful when there's mistakes

check my file is a good one as it checks your report with 3 different companies

I had a paper report sent to me for the small cost, was pretty good.

I might be able to do them through work for nothing 
Might try myself.
Last time I did the Experian thing described above my credit rating couldn't get any higher
