On the other hand, there was the Megafactories on a year or so ago about the Porsche factory - no people in it at all now!

yeah when i went round it 7 years ago the metal work area(shell building) was just robots, even robots put the windows in.
people still put interiors and running gear in though

It's funny how this picture was taken in 1972, but it looks like the LDV factory, the place where sun visors are made for Aston Martins and a whole host of other current day factories making parts for prestige british cars in the midlands:

Yeah alot of it is only the 1/4s are steel as far as im aware for the moment, they made change to full ally
Speaking to one of the techs at Porsche about it the other day, apparently failed its crash test initially and Porsche went back to the bloke who designed it, said heres 9mil Euros.....you have 3months....sort it
