Author whistling after alternator belt change

i post in here too much lately

as above had slight whistle before i presumed this was air box,

changed the belt and its become more noisy goes up with the revs

any ideas?

too tight/loose?

helpzone is there for a reason mate

i had this problem and i tightened it up and voila
although it could be a bearing if you've tried that


i post too much shit in here apparently

think its tight enough could always do a
bit more to see

Could be wrong belt. I got mine done at quick fit they tightened it far to much which killed the alt bearings, got the alt changed but used the same belt still a whistleing noise, changed belt noise gone.

was a bit shorter than other one but the alternator moves anyway, width was the same teeth the same aswell

lets hope it beds in

either slacken it a tad or tighten it a bit more see if it makes a difference

Mazda did this for a while when I changed the alt belt, doesn't do it any more

did 50ish miles today hasnt realy changed and cba to play with it today

already redid the connections on intake to make sure think it is the belt ever so slightly quieter today maybe its stretching in, ill look in to it tommorrow if i have time
