Asked many times I'm sure, but what's involved? Is it different mounts and things?
I'm right in believing te XE1 is small block too?

theres no to much invloved if your using a type 1 shell mate, engine drops straight into standard mounts.. you will have to put a multi point fuel pump in to if your running the 8v SPI and if i remember right youll need to fit an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator.. i could be wrong but a mate of mine did this into his 1.4 8v

quite a bit of the same gear involved as 14/16xe. gearbox, mounts......

The car is a type 2 with 16xe fitted, so will it still be just a straight drop?

loom and ecu will need replaced....

hmm i dont imagine there will be much differnce like i said my mate did it to his 1.4 8v and thats the type 1

DaveyLC had abuild thread for his and it was practically a how to build your own x18xe1 corsa so do a search for that.
He is also the man to talk too in regards to the loom and fuel pressure setup.
