As a general guide say 10% ebay fees + 3.5% paypal.

As much as it pains me to say it:
Where else can you sell something and get such a wide audience for less?

Its pretty disgusting the amount they take, but yeah my stuff does tend to sell. I just try to strike a deal outside of eBay & mutually cancel the transaction to get fees back.

Worst one was I sold a set of wheels for £500, eBay took £50 Paypal £25, the most annoying part was the bloke then picked them up anyway, dick

get yourself signed up on ebid instead, its like ebay was before they got a god complex and your listings show on google shopping provided you authorise your store,
much lower fees than ebay and none of their 8u115h1t

my ebid store, have a look at how it works on there
http://uk.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?mo=user-store&title=phoenix-autosport-flocking

ebay are loosing traders like there is no tomorrow and ebid is growing faster than any other auction site so it is likely to be the most viable alternative

this.

had stuff on puma forums for ages and hardly any of it sold. stuck it on ebay and sold about 20 things over 2 weekends free listing periods.

although sold the leather interior and the guy paid cash on collection (could've emailed me to buy out of auction) and i ended up with a £17.50 ebay fee.

Forums are shit for selling. You get moronic questions and people thinking they can get something for nothing. Typical question "what's the lowest you'll take"
