Mine left dodgy p[aint underneath that wouldnt polish out/off so i put them back on again.
Plenty of people have removed them and polished up the paint underneath with no problems though.

Should be easy enough with a bit of heat but take a small section off first to see how the paint is underneath.

seen them come off and polish up fine, also seen them come off and leave a paint line.
easiest to get a piece of cotton and use it like you are flossing your teeth behind it, will cut through the glue in seconds

i got them off the old silver one no problems, used a toffee wheel to get the remains of glue off but even after polishing there was a lighter silver/greyish paint stripe all the way down it
puts me off removing the ones on this silver one i have

If they leave a paint line chances are the panels been painted and they have been masked out.

nah mate, the one i removed didn't have a potent line as if it had been masked...
looked a bit like this but the line wasn't as sharp
think it may just be silver

That happened to me, used a heat gun on the white strips left behind and came back to normal silver.
