Right, i posted out an ECU on the 12/01/2012 via Royal Mail 1st class Recorded Delivery.
I have the receipt here with the tracking number etc.
The buyer contacted me today to say that it hasn't turned up, yet when i track it online via Postoffice.com, it is saying that it was delivered from the local office (Daventry) on 13/01/2012, so basically the next day. Just to be sure, i rang them up and got the automated tracking service, which again confirms it was signed for at 11.32am on the 13/01.
This service requires a signature at the other end before the parcel is handed over.
So what course of action should i take now?? Ive contacted the buyer to ask if maybe some1 else has signed for it, but he's not the quickest to reply.
He seems genuine enough, and from what i gather from his email, and the delivery adress, it was to be sent to his work, which im assuming he owns.
On the other hand, im shocked at how quick it was supposedly delivered seeing as i only sent it off at 16.35pm the day before.

Just give him the tracking number and he can view the signature online.

I think its 'view proof of delivery' or something along those lines. Its somewhere on the page after you have tracked it.

Can't find anything online.
Normally you just sign the posties wee book though and the sticker from the parcel gets stuck in the book beside the signature.

trying to pull a fast one by the sounds of it, or someone at his work has signed for it and then forgot about it/nicked it.
it's not your problem now tbh, tell him it was signed for (time and date) and the link to the page which shows it was signed for.
he will probably ignore you in all honesty as he knows he's been caught out.

when you type it in, click view proof of delivery, comes up with a signature mate

Where about is this view proof of delivery?? It isn't an option with Recorded Delivery.

track and trace, type that code in, it then comes up with the details on the right in a box, and view proof of delivery is in a red box under that.

Cheers Ben, i actually thought you were on the wind up to start with as i didn't have that option. I was doing it through postoffice.co.uk not royalmail.co.uk.
Yep will email him just now let him know. I havn't heard back from him since mailing him twice this morning.

If its signed for at work anyone could of had it at reception, but it isn't his problem now - you need to ensure he gets it.

I know, i havn't given up. Ive emailed him the tracking number etc and awaiting a reply.
After looking at the postal adresse, it was sent to KKC Kart Shop.
So im assuming either the manager or owner etc has signed for it, and he's just not received it.
I have his phone number, do you think i should call him??

Wait for his reply first. He might say, oh thanks... I found it.
I had this recently with something I sent and gave them the tracking number, etc.
Never heard back! Just hope I get the promised refund for them.

Worst one I had was over a year ago.
Sold some engine wiring for £35 incl delivery.
Sent it standard parcel or what ever service is called now. That was November before the strikes Royal Mail had. Guy sent me a message 3 weeks later saying he hasn't received it!
Turned up end of Jan!
