Im buying one of these tomorow, its an r reg 78k, lowered on cav slabs. Its got a vx inlet manifold, loads of service history.

Im paying £700, does this sound like a good price? Also any advice on them what to look out for etc? What milage do you get out of them?

yeh is a decentish price aslong as the car looks clean. are you happy paying £700 for it?

ive had a few with over 130k on them

Very clean no rust, bit of a scratch at the back but easily fixed. Been for a quick drive and its spot on, rides well everything as it should be. Was £750 got it for 700.

Mines on 115k and still runs brilliantly, with no rust anywhere.

It will need a cam belt if it's not been done already at 80k so that's about £250+

Just something to think about, obviously depends on the service history.

Had a cambelt mate. Im happy with it for now, no complaints. Big improvement on the 1.4 8v. Should last a year until i buy something new, looking towards corsa or astra vxr

You selling it? My insurance company said this was insurance group 21 is this right?

i might be soon , they were a group 15 on the old insurance groups so 21 could be possible

Il have to get rid of one first, old one should be gone this week. Il be sad to see it go as its going to a friend with a less than perfect record with cars.

Local pikeys are on the prowl tonight. Followed me for a bit till i got to work. Blue vectra, v reg. Stay well away from it.
