just been woken by my mum ringing to say my cars been pushed off the drove and been stripped down the road they've stolen my wheels, opel grille and headlights, just waiting for police to turn up to take fingerprints off it, all unique parts my wheels are white cesaro's with small opel decals down one spoke, black genuine opel grille with white opel symbol, and the headlights are german angel eyes, stolen from Darnall Sheffield, used a wire to get inside and took the hazard switch out so obviously someone who knows about corsas

Sheffield has surely got to be a big hotspot for car crime atm?

Ive seen a few posts on here about it, and on the land rover scence its every other day someone posting about their stolen defender and they are always in or near sheffield.

no alarm but battery was disconnected anyway as the headgasket was getting done, now to top it all off I've got to pay 150 quid to get it back as the police have recovered it

Only if it was an agreed evaluation. They will only give you standard book value of the car if not.

You should of told them not to take it away and just got it back up the road to your house

Bad news but im sure you can buy some different wheels and whatever and make it a bit different and aslong as you improve it then all is not lost

have to pay to get car back out of the compound, I'd already put my old wheels on to roll it back up to my drive but the recovery truck came and because the woman on the phone had told me they would take it to be examined I thought thats where it was going, didnt realise it would cost and I'd have to go fetch it back myself, so now ive got a partially stripped car and im left out of pocket through no fault of my own

what are they supposed to do? they will dust the car for fingerprints and then check if they have any matches.

you can't expect them to sit on their computers all day trawling through ebay and owners clubs, looking for parts for sale.

have some fucking common sense.

Know just how you feel mate.

They tried to charge me for getting my wheels etc off the car they (I) found all my stuff on.

I told them there was no way I was supplying wheels for the cunt who robbed my car, police agreed and I got it all back no charge.
