Looking into taking a photography course in the near future.
I have a Canon 350D with 2 lenses (not sure what they are without going home and looking). One doesn't zoom in far enough and the other doesn't zoom out far enough
Is there a lens that would make a good all rounder? Not sure on budget yet but I'm open to suggestions.

epic description .
iirc there is a 18-200 or something like that which may be of use however never used it or read about it so it could be slow and rubbish

Look about £300 used, not sure what the offers on this one are -

Might be slow and rubbish but that money for a 10x ratio is good.
28-300 is a lot more expensive and heavier.
Better alternative is to change lenses but that isn't for everyone.

Tamron 70-300mmZoom/Macro can be had new at Jessops for about £100
canon 50mm f1.8 MkII (a fixed lens) about £90... well worth getting as he f1.8 is awesome.
check out my thread... in Photo day about it.
You Std Lens maybe about 18mm (wide angle) to 55mm.
