What would you have at your wedding?

Got a DJ sorted, but found a band that i like that do lots of The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Kings Of Leon & Coldplay covers and they are available @ £750

What would you prefer at your wedding for 4.5 hours of music? Band would do 2 x 1 hour sets.

We had a band. Made the night what it was, hate cheesy wedding dj's with a passion. We paid a grand so £750 is about right.

both would be best if funds allow. I had a DJ, he was excellent and we were happy but then went to a friends wedding who had 3 bands and a dj for in between sets and it worked fantastic. It gave everyone attending massive choice in music to dance to.

I think you need a DJ if you have a Band as there is normally a lot of time when the Band is not playing that you want some background music, you could do your own mix but would still need the PA system etc.

We would have gone for a band but could not afford it and had a DJ and we still had a great night.

I wanted a live band at my wedding but ended up with just a DJ to save money.

EDIT - why not hire the CS Band?

Its your wedding. Tell the DJ what you want to hear. I DJ weddings sometimes, and will play what the bride/groom are into.

Both, have a DJ for most of the eve and then a band for 3/4 tunes depending on taste/theme of wedding etc
