Do you know in cars you get some control, usually a pic of an arrow circulating inside the car or the arrow coming in from outside of car.

seen here on bottom left of top controls

what do you normally have yours on? and when do you swap it over?

Noticed my escort doesn't have this option

Coming in from the outside all the time, apart from when it smells outside.

Supposed to use recirc when warming car up its better than trying to heat cold air.

If you stick recirc on when warming the car up it normally just steams the window up.

Its shit

Always thought it was to block outside smells, not to heat the interior up quicker, as John says - it will mist up.

Never used it in my others cars as it makes the air really uncomfortable and it makes me feel unwell.

If it's hot outside i recirc it with the climate control on. Do the opposite if it's really cold. Climate/aircon stops it misting up.

If you're getting a lot of mist changing pollen filter may help.

Edit: Also clean your windows found that can help.

i normally put it on re-circ to help it warm up, then just when i start to see the windows misting/heaters getting warm i switch back to outside air

I just leave it on the AUTO setting and adjust the temperature to suit., then it flicks between what the car thinks.

Mine is always set to outside air. If i change it, the air con automatically comes on, so i assume that is re-circ is better for air con like others have said.

Never have the recirc on, althugh does make sense with aircon on as your cooling the air and then taking in more warm air from outside
My climate control automatically goes into recirc mode when I reverse so I dont draw in all the diesel fumes
