ok bit of help here please, I knmow its not corsa related but some of you run big wheels/tyres

set up of new wheels for my BMW:

19x8 front
19x9 rear

now, standard tyres on these are:

225/35/19 front
255/30/19 rear

I need 4 tyres (alloys are new without tyres) BUT the above rear sizes are mega expensive as not many makes do them (seems BMW only use this size just about!)

So, I was going to go with either:

235/35/19
265/30/19

This is what my old 19s had, but they were 1/2 inch wider, and i dont want to risk them looking like big ballon tyres on the new rims. Or

215/35/19
245/35/19

And go down a size, but might not fit, dont want a "stretch" - want OEM look where possible

What you think? Struggling to find info as the wheels are off an e93 BMW and mines an e46 and I cant find any other on the net with these wheels on grrr

wheels:

old ones 1/2 inch wider (and a few mm higher offset):

shall be lowered 40mm all round too, clearence isnt an issue on current wheels either

cheers

I'm 235/35/19 on the front on an 8.5J wheel

265/30/19 on the rear on a 10J wheel

So IMO I would go 255 on the rear & 225 on the front. IIRC those wheel specs are the same as CSL wheels and that's what size tyres they use, I could be wrong however and I can't be bothered to google it

I think 265 will be 'balloony' on a 9" wheel personally

255 impossible to get unless paying twice if not more

would rather buy a diferent type of wheel in 9.5j and put 265s on

225 on the front and 255 on the rear on the e90

225 on the front and 235 on the rear for the 1 series

255 seems a common size for 18's or 19's on a 3 series

yeah common size on the cars as they run runflats, not many non-run flats about in a 255, ones that are cost a fortune
