He's a good player, very good at PL level so why does he not want to stay and play in England as his actual career, rather than going back to the states again?

You can't compare playing in the PL to the MLS, though, can you.

Obviously I'm talking in terms of football, not living quarters.

To some footballers where they are based is more important than the standard of football.

Come of it, if you're a footballer in a pub league, and you get the chance to play real football in one of the best leagues in the world, then surely you'd do it. I just think he has the quality to stay at a club like Everton permanently, and it seems pretty crazy that he wouldn't want to do that. He's been in LA for ages, so why not move to England in the PL for a few years.

Robbie Keane is good enough to play for a top half Premiership side for another 3 seasons easily. His missus fancies prancing on the beach in 30+ degrees every day drinking Cosmopolitans. Footballers have families, it isn't a game of Champ Man.

You'll find Landon Donovan is probably the same and has a young family.

The Keane comparison is kinda flawed, I was really alluding it to the Donovan situation, seeing as he's an American, lived in LA all his life, and plays in a pub league.

Agree to disagree, whatever, I just query why he wouldn't want to stay here. If it is for family reasons, then fair enough.
