I had one of these for my first car, my mates dad found it in his mates field, clocked it from like 130k to 60k then gave it to his son as a first car as he was so sure he was gunna crash it lol. Considering how badly it always overheated never serviced etc this car was it was surprisingly quick.
Modding wise exhaust and cam if you wanna spend the money

i am not sure on engine wise just got it because i am having problems with my clio and need a car to get to work. pics are not yet taken but it is red with 2 rust patches on bonnet and boot.

Will be really reliable and parts are cheap as anything.
Get some lowering springs and a RARB for cheap fun!!

It will be a C14NZ engine which is a single point injection (SPI) engine.

Not alot you can do to those to be honest.

Get onto PNG/Novaload Forum as there is a tuning guide for the very similar C12NZ and has some good tips!

If you want fast, strip it, decent suspension setup (even a decent fixed rate kit) and good tyres will make it feel a million times quicker. Also some seats from a GSi or something sporty will add to the speed feel.

are your sure about c14nz?? it is a single point but it don't run a dizzy but it does run a coilpack?

Its a c14nz, i had one. They are good engines very reliable mine never let me down. Theyre just not fast or good on fuel. Best thing to do is the mpi conversion but these bits are hard to come by.
