Author Revs catching on way down?

When i rev my 1.2 8v, the revs rise fine, but seem to "catch" on the way back down.

Kinda like engine holds revs for say 1/2 a second for some reason. Air filter is near enuff new, sparks are month old, regularly serviced engine which other wise runs perfect. Any ideas?

As in they freeze at a point, or are just delayed beore they start to fall. If its the latter, i think its how its supposed to be.. stops you stalling it as easy or summat like that

after i do some hard driving i get the same, is a tad annoying.

mine always does that, drops down, holds, then drops down too idle
