Having a debate at work about pregnancy. We were winding up a Colleague who is soon to be married saying she'll be off on maternity, to which she said if she got pregnant, she'd just get rid and not tell anyone. Debate is, do you think the bloke has a right to know? Obviously it's up to woman if she wants to put her body through it, but should the father have any say?

What is the question, if you fall pregnant should you tell the father before getting rid?

That's a bigger question about transparency in the entire relationship for me. I wouldn't think you'd retain that fact alone inside an otherwise functional partnership.

Fucking right he should. I'd be devastated if a bird terminated my child and I only found out afterwards.

If it's her fella he has a right to know in my opinion. If she's not telling him details like that, what else isn't she telling him?

She could tell him while it was downloading the latest update TBH.

i think it should be discussed, but ultimately its her body and her choice.
not like the guy has to go through the physical pain, and ultimately if he gets fed up he can walk

Would be cooler if the baby was deleted and not aborted.

She has said that she knows he doesn't want kids, so would save any agro by just getting rid and never telling him...

If she's so sure of his position, she'd be better including him and allowing him to support her through it.

He should just have the snip if he's had enough kids already. The fact he hasn't means she can't be 100% sure that he doesn't want any more.

What he doesn't know doesn't hurt him though if it does come out. At the end of the day If it was me I would just support the decision of the women,
