I have a car booked in for an MOT next week and the airbag light is on; will this cause it to fail its MOT?
Im pretty sure it didnt in the past but know that there have been various changes recentley which is why i am asking?
Thanks

Mine always passed with airbag light on, although not sure on these new rules. Just do the old bulb-out job.

Won't be able to do that soon. It needs to light up then go out. Same as the abs.

So, without me reading the new rules, can anyone tell me what this applies to? i.e. any warning lights or more specific ones like airbag, abs, etc?
What about cars that have had them removed from their original factory spec?

Said it has to light up then go off, which will stop all those tactics. Good in a way I guess.

So does the light stay on then? I didnt think it would as the ecu in your car wont be looking for the .
And your airbag light for the steering wheel and dash will still come on and go off?

If your mot is due soon then just do it before April and you'll just get an advisory
