Evo will cost you a fortune to be one of the fastest evos about.

Not being funny but you, a VR6 and a turbo kit would be mega, could deffo wheelspin on the spot then.

Mitsi Gto twin turbo, quite cheap and fast

I'm a common man. I'd never do that. Farmers in my village have more expensive cars than I will ever have.

If it's a golf then I think the 1.8 T is better engine over the vr6 to tune, probably wrong on that.

I think you need something rear wheel drive and not in inline4.

Gto twin turbo might be a good call, 3.0 ltr v6 and 4wd, acceleration on them can be brutal but heard they understeer quite badly.

After saying that, vr4 galant, I like them a lot

1.8t is cheaper and easier to make big bhp claims for the money, but the vr6 is better imo, especially with a turbo, but its not cheap to modify

I can imagine how much that car owes you and it makes me feel sick

If I were in your position I'd consider:

Evo 6/8
Nissan S14a/S15
R33 GTR

Get an auto S14 for around 2K, S14a front end swap and manual conversion for £1200. Done.
