Who's done one? What do I expect?

Is it just sitting discussing/videos or am I going to have to do paperwork and that shite??

Yes, I was attempting to break the land speed record

I went on one just before christmas.

Got done for 56mph on a 50 zone. First offence after 15 years of driving. So rather do the course han take the points.

Tbh, it wasn't that bad the course but they the course content does vary depending on who's doing it.
It never felt like you had committed a deadly sin or anything and you didn't feel percecuted.
Mine involved some videos and interactive multi choise question thing.

Tea and coffee provided half way through.
It drag on a bit though.

As said though 4hr course Ł80 and no points or points and a fine.
I know what I would rather do.

I've been done once before 55 in 40 got straight points for that.

This was 36 in 30 and got offered the course. As said, better than 3 points and it's a day out of work

I thought it was a load of crap tbh...

They were adamant that every car no matter what it is stops in the same distance......

Just sit listen, smile and nod..

Did one last week
Was alright, brushed up on the highway code a bit!

Did drag on though, just sit down, shut up and agree with everything the bloke says!

One arsehole spend the whole 4 hours taking the piss, he was kicked out about 10mins before the end and 'failed' the course so it will be points or court for him!

What's the point in acting like a knob end on these courses and risking having points on your licence.

thats the name of the game, just let them patronise you for a few hours, its worth it to avoid the points,
unfortunately east northamptonshire council no longer have the funds to run the courses so we dont get them here anymore, but on the plus side they also dont have the money to run the cameras so they have all been turned off
happy days

I did one about 18 months ago and some of the stuff they tell you really is an eye opener. I strongly believe it should be compulsory for young drivers as its always made me think twice about putting my foot down now
