There has never been another player I would want in my team over Messi, past or present, never mind Ronaldo. World class though he is, Messi is in a different league altogether.

both players have the ability to drag the teams through sticky games, both have the ability to run the show, but when having a bad game, i'd say one player more than the other is likely to produce a goal and the other one is more likely to produce a moment of magic

That man wouldn't happen to be Messi? Even when he's playing shit, he has an eye for a pass that most midfielders could only dream about. Add the wand of a left foot that can play the pass and you have the worlds best player.
