to do it properly would cost more tha a LET conversion and you would end up with less power

no point in even atemplting it by the sound of it may as well just go the let route haha
i wanted to do a honda VTI conversion on a corsa B16 but would prob cost just as much as a let

since the 1.6 is basicly the same as the 1.8 why is it such a bad idea

Stick it on aftermarket management could easily run 10psi with out lowering the compression,
Stick a decomp plate in it, some arps and go chasing 250bhp.
Pug/cit boys are doing in the 8v/16v's so don't see why sports won't handle it.
