Took my car for an MOT yesterday and it failed on the following things:
Nearside front constant velocity joint gaitor damaged to the extent that it no longer prevents the ingress of dirt etc.
Nearside rear wheel bearing has excessive play
Offside rear wheel bearing has excessive play
Nearside front track rod end ball joint has excessive play
Offside front track rod end ball joint has excessive play
Offside front suspension has excessive play in lower suspension ball joint
How much would it roughly cost to put all this right and is it worth it, the cars a 99 T plate and nearly done 99k. Also i know i need a new stub axle for the offside wheel as some previous owner just left the wheel bearing to eat away at it that much that its worn into it, and what is the "velocity joint gaitor".

CV Boot £10
2 Rear Bearings £10 each, you'll need them pressed in though.
2x Track Rod Ends £8 Each
Ball Joint £12

Nothing major there.
Rear bearings depends if it's a B or C. If it's a B they tap out easily. A C is different - a press makes the job a lot easier. But if you take the drums into a workshop they'll do them on their press for a small fee.

The gaitor is a piece of corregated rubber that will be split like the stuff that goes over front suspension forks on a mountain bike

Where you located? If you're local to me I can give you a hand doing it all.
I can also get the parts at trade.

Just looking at parts now and abit stuck lol not that mechanically minded.
"The constant velocity joint gaitor damaged" does that mean its just the rubber bit which needs replacing not the whole thing?
Also are these the correct parts for:
The Lower suspension ball joint -

The Track rod end ball joints-

Bit too far for you to come up here then. Shame, Would have got you a good deal on parts and helped you do it. Good luck with it though chap.

Me too!! Try autovaux and have it delivered, or EuroCarParts is just up from Castle Marina, or Andrew Paige is about 2 minutes from Pentagon island in Derby. Normally cheap places
