My mrs had a bit of an accident in her Corsa a few hours ago and the drivers side rear quarter window smashed,getting quotes for a new one at around 170 and really can't afford that right now,going to go scrapyard tomorrow to find one,are they simple to take out and if not what do I need to do to remove one

Have you checked with your insurer as windows are usually covered for £50 without affecting no claims.

if tis a 3door, i was getting quotes or around £100 inc fitting for rear quater window, dont change it yourself, i ended up doing mine and was a ball ache getting the new one out of the old car then lining it all back up and getting the right silicone, easier to get somebody that knows what they are doing.

Windows are bonded in these days and are part of the integral structure of the car. If you aren't sure what you're doing leave it to the professionals.

Was hoping it would be as simple as replacing the glass in a door! Didn't think it would though! Lol think il (unfortunately) have to leave it to the pros!

ask at scrap yards if they know anyone i get mine supplied and fitted for £40
