My Ibiza has been SORN, if I but the tax online can I drive it while waiting for the new disc to arrive?

I've had a look on direct.gov and the taxing site, but can't find a definite answer

No you can't, can only drive without a valid tax disc if the tax ran out the previous month, if that's makes sense. Then bullshit about driving without a valid tax disc being displayed but you do get a few days grace so wouldn't worry about that.

When I tried to do that it wouldn't let me. Had to go to the Post Office.

i taxed a sorned car online - used straight away no problems - once its taxed on the dvla system its taxed... you get 5 days to display the disc

Hmm, hopefully the certificate will come through the post and I will just do it in person at the post office.
