I need to renew sump gasket soon - it's "weeping" a bit.
Some of the bolts look a little awkward to remove. is this so??

Is it a reasonably straightforward job??

easy peasy - biggest problem is splitting the sump from the block (if its a steel sump - tend to get stuck to the block and require persueading with a flat wide chisle)

Had to have a bolt replaced on mine when i had con rod bolts fitted as the thread was pretty much knackered, might be an idea to get some spare sump bolts.
Easy enough though.

i jsut done mine, v straightforward, jsut rember too remove the flywheel plate , 1 of the bolts on that is a bitch (only 3 onit) i used an adjustable spanner for 1 of um (middle 1) apart from that its easy job mate, drain oil, just undo the bolts, and it should fall off in ya hand clean the sump up with petrol so u cna see if it leaks, clean flat surface, apply sealent, apply gasget ontop, apply more slealet on top, clean block.. offer up, bolt bk, fill up, run, check oil level, top if if u need 23, check for leaks jobs done

u could change ya filter if u like 2, 2 min job ontop
