It's a waste of fucking time, why buy the kit to melt some wax flakes into a liquid then put in a pot to dry?

Might aswel buy a ready made dodo wax that's cheaper and specific to your cars colour.

The dodo colours are a load of bullshit and only enhance the colour slightly when layered about 5 or 6 times.
Dodo juice actually proved this by testing it.
There is a thread on detailing world about it.
There is also a load of proper "homebrew" threads on there.
Dodo juice's 'Bouncer 22" wax was homemade by someone on detailing world and it was that good that dodo juice branded it for him.
took him 22 batches of different ingredients and stringent testing to get it perfect.

Good luck.

both an interesting read.

i still consider myself a newbie to the waxing world and certainly would not consider myself a detailer, i give my car a wash as often as i can/it needs it (typically once a month) with two "deep" washes in a year, at the start of the summer and winter months (April/Oct)

this all started when my black MX5 had an odd paint effect on one panel which i spoke to RichH about knowing his experience in detailing, he suggested a wax and as a Dodo supplier (at the time) i asked him what products he would recommend.
i chose purple haze and loved the results, both in finish and beading characteristic

i later decided to give my China Blue (sky blue) Nova a similar wash to bring her back to her former glory, this time choosing rainforest rub as it was designed for "all colours" (against Purple haze dark colours)

and again was pleased with the results and on the plus side my gf love the smell of it!

i would highly recommend both waxes, and appreciate the work that Dodo did in that report i follow the manufacturers recommendations and only apply two coats.

given my success with Dodo i wont be looking at a DIY solution as i know what is out there on shelf will do the job i want
