Yes, I felt i had to give it a great review, not because i genuinely enjoyed it and thought it was a fantastic documentary with some some great footage and emotion but because, erm, if i didnt then senna would come haunt me, or something?

I honestly think so, nobody wants to insult one of the all time greats and that's what it feels like your doing if you call the documentary crap

I've never really been a fan of Senna, but I really enjoyed the film - it was a good documentary and had some great footage.

Did Senna make it himself like? Impressive. He really is a god.

Senna will always be remembered as one of the greatest F1 has ever seen and the fact he died at the peak of his career and the controversy that surrounded the crash played a big part too. The chassis and helmet that Senna was killed in was only released back to Williams by the Italian Authorities in March 2002.

Senna's name has been carried on every single Williams F1 car since 1994 as a mark of respect to the tragedy

What exactly is there to critisise about it. I thought it was a brilliant film, some of the people I have seen it with were not f1 fans - they were completely blown away by it- Ended up going home and youtubing everything they could about the bloke.

To be honest I didn't really understand the difference between senna and any other top driver when I used to watch f1 in that era- after the film you can understand why he was hero worshipped

Purely from a film making point of view it's a really good effort

It was good but it wasn't anything more than a decent documentary IMO. I enjoyed watching it, but it wasn't as incredible as some people were making out.

Definitely worth a watch all the same.

The footage alone made it brilliant, I loved it.

Yeah alright it was maybe a bit harsh on the Senna vs Prost goodguy/badguy bit but meh, I'm big enough to have my own opinions on that anyway

Oh and this, my missus is far from an F1 fan... it's just two hours of noise to ruin a weekend for her and she couldn't take her eyes away from this film, so it did a good job at something!

It's an excellent film, slightly let down by the one sided take on the Prost/Sennna rivalry and leaving out some of Sennas less heroic actions. I watched it 3 times in 3 days, never done that with a film before.

My mrs has no interest whatsoever in F1 and didn't really know who he was but even she enjoyed it and was in tears at the end, although she has been known to cry during adverts

I think if you have never seen any of the 80's/90's F1 and love F1 now its great to see how its developed and moved on

I thought it was great I dont suppose you get many people speaking out or never hear people speaking out in drivers meetings

Why would people think it was anything other than a documentary?

I thought it was really good. Sorry.

just seen it now, the end was particualrly hard as i remember how upset i was when it happened, barely ate or left my room for a few days (). not keen on the showing of ratzenbergers crash either, no real need for it... they also missed the wendlinger coma incident at the next race in monaco and pedro lamys silverstone testing accidents which i thought were worth a mention given the proximity to the imola race. think jj lehto broke both his legs too but that may have been in 93

Wasnt that fire down to the fact that Benneton removed a filter from the fuel rig to allow faster delivery of fuel during pitstops?
