Regarding the earlier 160bhp engine, will a simple £350 map take the power upto a reliable 200bhp or is more needed???

You don't ever need to map them in all honestly unless going for stupid power.

You will see about 190-200 with a 15% pulley and a DaveF airbox.

That lot will cost you under 500 quid or buy my Mini with 15% already fitted

Mine was rr'd at 188 with only a davef intake and a custom catback.
Mapping will get you maybe twenty more ponies without more work so I've been told.
A 15% pulley kit for £120 and a new intake and exhaust really help on these. With that you wouldn't be far off.

Apparently they only need mapped after changing cams and injectors.
Will be getting mine rr'd again after I get my pulley fitted, that's if this pay day would hurry up!!
