Anyone here to work for subsea 7?
Ive got an interview in Aberdeen on monday for ROV maintenance - just looking for as much information as possible really. questions that are likely to come up in the interview etc
I have no experience with ROVs but im an electrician in the oil industy which my cv stated

also does anyone know what the 7 is in the name for?

I work for subsea7.

You will fly ur interview if it was anything like mine, its really just to see what ur about ect! I was in and out within an hour.

My interview was in Glasgow so urs may well be different to mine.

Cracking company to work for by all accounts mate.

They have just invested silly money in there fleet, the Seven Atlantic in particular is the largest DSV in world and most capable. Seven Pacific, one of the most advanced Pipelay vessels.

Most of there North Sea work is done for Shell I believe with which they have a massive contract for Diving, maintenance and repair.

They have just merged with Acergy who were also massive so they really have all bases covered now with perhaps a slight lack of heavy lifing vessels.

Hope that helps mate. I would imagine the interview will be quite informal! They may want to know what Electrical components and systems your working with now.

Thanks for all the help guys, had to do a psychometric test before the interview
