basically i have no door check (hope thats what they are called and you get what im on about) on the drivers door a quick look on the passenger side i cant really make out how you install them as im going to the scrappy tomorrow how abouts would i go at getting one of a doner car?

what I wana know is why the feck would anyone take them off, my project doesnt have any either

Because they seize up and make funny noises.
You got the mounts for it? Probably needs the door disassembling to reinstall them but should just be a case of bolting it back in and putting the pin through the catch on the hinge side.

you have to take the dooc card of and thread the door checks through, then 2 x 10mm (head size) bolts secure it in place from the outside of the door. then just a pin secures it onto the car in between the hinges
