seriously the one I've got is crap. it doesn't work any more and is always showing the warning light. it dances about for no reason and I'm getting annoyed with it. its a stepper motor one and i don't know what make it is, it was from ebay few years ago.
I'm after a mechanical one ideally, as that should work right. black face to match the clocks in the car would be better.
stack ones seem pretty decent. i need one thats easy to read though so these multi coloured hong kong shite can stay in vin diesel movies.
edit, lastly to add I'm not spending thousands on defi stuff as thats not really any good to me and a bit of a waste of money.

Defi gauges are one of the best out there but there expensive.
Auto gauges are supposidly good as well but a bit simple looking.

i must have edited at that exact moment lol. yeah defi stuff is just far too expensive and I've no need to spend 160 quid on a boost gauge tbh.
auto gauge stuff will go look. the simpler looking the better so i can glance at it and read what it says without having to pay masses of attention tbh.

over aem mark? as they're well cheap these days.
I've only ever had innovate, which needed calibrated constantly, and then i borrowed a tech edge which was alright.

Way too expensive though just no point. The whole logging computer isn't worth it as I can data log from my ecu anyway. £170 for a boost gauge is just mental.

No mechanical gauge will ever be as accurate as a Defi. I once remember you stressing to me the importance of a good boost gauge

personally went for defi over other brands, the quality is amazing and they do look the dogs danglies. They do often come up for sale so bargains to be had, and essentially its nice to have a reliable decent make especially if your looking at oil temp and oil pressure

If they do come up though its rare to get a good set. I'm still waiting for an amber lit oil temp gauge

Well I only need the boost gauge so it's a bit pointless. As for accuracy, well how exactly do you mean? The speed it reacts as such? That's not really a problem as boost is all ecu controlled for me anyway. I just want the gauge to have a quick look at etc for checking purposes. Tbh I rarely ever look at boost. Wideband always. Boost occasionally.

lookas at the spa ones, i have a boost/oil pressure gauge spare there that was on mine for 300 miles

Accuracy as in response and general indication. I've had Auto Gauge mech. gauges and they just flip around everywhere. The needles are never steady, the vac response is nowhere near instantanious. Whereas Defi run so much smoother and cleaner. But its up to you. Buy some cheap piss, its only a Corsa after all.

Out of interest what makes Defi better over say a Racetech Gauge (http://www.racetechdesign.com/index_files/Page768.htm) ?
And I mean actual reasons, not just that its better? do they wire up differently or filled with magic or something? (should be for that price) - A friend of mine has a full defi set with the controller&ting, very nice bit of kit but just the god damn cost! Do they only come in one size too? 60mm or something?
