Basically found this engine to put into my car it's a 1.0l just now
Been told by the guy selling it you don't need the transponder and key as it's simply plug and play with it is this true?
What should I get with it so it will plumb straight in
Any help or advice Appricated

I wouldn't trust it imo, he's lied about what you need so i wouldn't trust the engine unless you've seen it running

if the ECU has been De-coded/chipped then you dont need Transponter, but its its standard you need chip/transponer, and on a 1.0 shell you will need to change the loom behind the Dash for it to work

you dont need to change the loom. you will need drivers side engine mount tho, and as said chip/transponder/ecu.

False... You need the ecu your 1.0l one wont work with the 1.6, i believe that the ecu, chip and transponder need to all match up in order to switch the immboliser on/off

ive got a 1.6 x16xe ecu, chip and transponder here if needed..
in a 1.0 you do need to change the dash wiring loom that does indicatiors etc as the 1.0 loom has the ecu on the engine itself and the loom goes through the bulkhead in the middle of the car, where as all the other wiring looms go up into the engine bay through a grommet on the drivers side just next to the brake fluid bottle. ive done an 1600 engine conversion from a 1.0 and had to change the dash loom

You can pull them wires back inside the car and use them. Rather easy. Wouldn't be pulling a dash out thats for sure!
