spotted a car on autotrader and gumtree, liked the look of the car so when it appeared on ebay i thought id cheance my arm to see if i could get it a bit cheaper so had a bid, but my mates just checked the car and it turns out its been a accident damaged repaired car which is not what i want so emailed the seller to say i wanted to retract my bid, had no reply as of yet but is there anything i can do that doesnt involve getting bad feedback as up till now its 100%

Off the top of my head, you used to be able to click on the bid history, then there was something in there to retract, then it goes for the sellers approval. Otherwise, if those issues weren't mentioned in the sale ad then it's not as described so I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. It's in the sellers interest to remove your bid since you've no intention of completing.

is the car described as an accident damaged repaired car?

You could use that as a defence if he does raise an ebay complaint.
