I agree, the whole "this fast to 60mph" and "top speed" is really really boring and meaningless these days, not just on diesels either.

Be it 3 seconds to 60, 4 seconds, 5 seconds, it just seems pointless now, we all know it can be done.

I reckon the only thing to give people a boner is the fact it has 3 turbos and that will be good to boast about down the pub, apart from that its quite an ugly looking yet another BMW saloon

Im glad they didn't offer it as an ///M5 though.

Will be interesting to drive I reckon, wonder how it "feels" for a diesel i.e does it rev at all?

TBF its most mongs on the net who say this crap anyway. Its all figures and no comprehension on how different a cars character could be because of the different characteristics of the engine be it diesel, petrol, N/A, turbo etc) Its just book figures and thats it.

That guy says it will be as quick as the M5 on almost any road though, that's from driving it and not book figures.

The M5 will be way more fun though.

Not a hope in hell that BMW would ever do that.

i'd hazard a guess that with 3 turbo's it would be pretty happy to rev.

was thinking the same thing. 0-62 in 4.7seconds in a dirty diesel 0.4seconds slower to 62 than an M5 a remap would be interesting!
