Jesus, the MR2 must have been REALLY slow if you are used to a 1.2 8v and still think it was slow!

You people know annoyingly little about the wider world of cars, outside of Corsa, Saxos and 106s! Evo Mag timed it to 60 in 7.6 (very slow compared to a 1.2 8v Corsa!) and gave it five stars. A couple of quotes for ya:

It is an exceptionally sensitive and rewarding device – a car that teaches you more about driving than anything else for the money. The fact it costs £2000 less than a TF160 puts the conclusion beyond doubt. Barker's final thoughts are telling: 'It's a daring car because it is so different in the wet compared with the dry. It demands respect. For those who dream of owning a 911, the MR2 offers an appealing and cost-effective apprenticeship.' Knowing how he feels about 911s, that's praise indeed.

It's a pansy's car. Buy one and you will be disowned by your dad for being a pansy.

The only people that call small cabs pansy's cars/hairdressers cars are those people who are insecure about the contents of their trousers, everyone knows that

In English that means....the handling is crap in the wet and if you boot it on a bend your going to end up in a hedge.

I'm sure Porsche will be delighted to see a Toyota MR2 compared to a 911. Doesn't bother me as both models are particularly bland. They don't provoke an emotion of desperately wanting to own one.

I have had many a sleepless night debating whether I should opt for the Vauxhall Corsa or the Porsche Boxster. Oh if only you knew how it weighs on my mind

So you gonna choose a Porsche Boxster over a Corsa. Fair enough it's your money to spend as you wish. You will then be able to leave this site and leave it for people that actually own Corsa's.
