My car had a stone chip on rear wheel arch when I got the car back in September.

After winter lacquer started to peel around it. Had a guy round today and he quoted me 95 + vat to sort this:

Reasonable price or not?

Daymoon, Airmyn garage charged me £85 to fill and smooth a great big gouge out of my rear bumper and then blow in the paint job - really good match too.

Maybe worth a look?

if you took it to a bodyshop they would spray up to the easiest line to loose the spray job on, the job looks alot nicer, a smart repairer does a bodge job more than anything and 99/100 times looks like crap tbh

bodyshop would be a better job but almost certainly more expensive and will probably want you to leave the car with them

Seen smart repairs that are perfect, down to the guy IMO. Wouldn't disregard them for a cheap fix.

Do you know Airmyn at all? It's pretty much one road which follows the River, Bodyshop is about halfway through the village right opposite the riverbank, can't miss it if you drive through. (Left at Glews Garage when driving towards Goole - passed the tip, tight right hander then you're in the village. River is on your left, houses/shops/pub/bodyshop on your right).

I took Civic there because they've got a fairly good local reputation, and I was pleasantly surprised at the cost they quoted me.

I've seen a couple of really good smart repairs as well, if they can blow it in over a tiny bit I think that's preferable to a whole panel.
