The DIY kits aren't worth the money. They soon go patchy and all the flock falls off. Goto www.theflockshop.co.uk and chat with Ron. He is a member of the mx5 forums and has been professionally flocking for the past 12 months. Very good prices and very good service. He has even flocked wheels and rocker covers for some customers

I'm afraid the diy kits aren't any good, they come with a puffer and you literally only have the power of the air to make the flock stick - so it doesn't produce a uniform finish.

I do 'proper' flocking myself and it is done using a conductive 2 part epoxy which is sprayed/rollered onto the part after it has been solvent cleaned and suitably keyed. Then the flocker is earthed into the adhesive and the flock is charged by the flocker - up to 45,000+ volts. This attracts the flock into the adhesive end on to give the material like finish (around 150,000 fibres per square inch). The flock itself is cut nylon fibres btw.

They rub a balloon on your dash, steering wheel, door cards, vents etc.. then throw some fuzzy felt onto it.

Bobs your uncle....
